Let’s Get Started, Together

There are a few steps you need to take to prepare for your first appointment.

Step 1: Set up your Charm patient portal account

The first thing you’ll need to do is log into your account in the Charm patient portal. We have sent you an email with a link to set up your account, you can click that link to get started right away, then log in using the button below.

Step 2: Complete your intake documents

Before your first appointment, you’ll need to make sure to complete all of the mandatory intake documents. If you haven’t filled these out before your first appointment, you won’t be able to join the session.

We will send you an email which includes a link directly to these documents. Or, watch the video above to learn how to fill them out directly in your Charm patient portal.

Step 3: Add your preferred payment method

Before joining your first session you’ll want to make sure to have your preferred credit card on file if you have any copays or financial responsibilities associated to receiving care. You can do this by signing into your Charm patient portal and clicking on the credit card icon in the top right hand corner. For step-by-step instructions, please watch the video below.

If you have a copay that impacts your ability to continue services, we’re here to help. Please reach out to our billing team at 866-203-3130 and we can work together to find a solution that fits within your budget.

Step 4: Join your session and book a follow up appointment

Now you’re ready to join your first appointment! We will send you an email before every appointment with a link to join your Zoom session. You can also join your session directly from your Charm patient portal. For step-by-step instructions on how to do this, please watch the Getting Started video at the top of this page. The consent forms give Telemynd permission to treat you via Telehealth. The privacy form advises you of your rights under HIPAA. The Assignment of Benefits form allows us to bill your insurance company for any services provided and the credit card authorization form allows us to store your credit card for future use.  The Telemynd Referral Intake Information assists your provider to get to know a little more about you and your goals before your first appointment. If you have not completed these forms prior to your first appointment, you will not be able to enter the Zoom meeting, and there will be a prompt for you to complete the forms.

  • The length of a session varies depending on the objective of the appointment and the goals established by you and your provider. Therapy sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes and medication management visits typically can be 15-30 minutes after the longer initial session has been conducted.

  • Watch the Preparing for Your First Appointment video above for instructions on how to set up your patient portal.

Once you have set up your patient portal, you can easily contact your provider through the Charm portal by selecting the send message button located at the top of the page.

  • If your provider does not join your scheduled appointment, you can email your provider through the Charm portal or call Telemynd at 866-991-2103 to reschedule. We will follow up with your provider to understand why they did not join your scheduled appointment, and to ensure it does not happen again.

  • If you ever need to message your provider about re-scheduling or cancelling, you can easily send messages through your portal by clicking here on the Send Message button located at the top of the page.

We ask that if you are going to be late for a session, you give your provider as much notice as possible either through your portal and/or by using the contact information that will be provided to you by your provider during your first session.

Telemynd’s No Show policy requires you to give your provider at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. For weekend appointments, you must give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

As a reminder, insurance will not pay for missed appointments and you may be charged a cancellation fee.

Thank you for adhering to these requirements, as it helps providers plan their day and serve all their clients in a timely manner.

  • If you don’t have a credit card on file, you can pay partial or full payments through your patient portal. If you have questions, you can call the billing department at (866) 203-3130.

  • Prior to your first appointment, you should ensure that you have a card on file, but copays are not charged until after the appointment occurs and your provider has completed the session note.

  • Sessions are not recorded by Telemynd.

  • Children are legally allowed to be in the room during a session, although it is not advised for a variety of reasons. Most importantly, the goal is to have a space where you can focus on your treatment and to prevent minors from overhearing information that may not be appropriate.  Providers may wish for you to find a space where you can join sessions on your own or schedule at a time that may be more convenient for you.
